The LAVA House
Current mood: hopeful
Last
Sunday, The LAVA House (Louisville Assembly of Vanguard Art) caught on
fire and burned down. The entire warehouse was destroyed and one man
passed away in the fire. Three artists were living in the warehouse and
lost everything they had. Nine artists (including the 3 above) all had
studios in the warehouse and also lost all of their original art and
supplies. Please support these people in this hard time. For donation
information check out their website at www.thelavahouse.org.
Here at the Louisville Visual Art Association, we will be helping to
collect donations for the LAVA House and the artists. By sending in
your donations through us, you will help relieve some of the work on
the artists trying to organize everything and your donation will
be tax deductible. You can contact us at 896-2146 or email mary@louisvillevisualart.org
